Are you tired of having your sensitive skin turning red, irritating each time you try shaving or simply done with all the itchiness or ingrown hair?
If yes, it’s because you’ve been treating your skin with the incorrect set of tools. You should already know that your skin is very sensitive and it requires delicate treatment.
And for that, there are designated tools that can treat you in the right way – the best electric shavers for sensitive skin are indeed praised for a reason!
I’ve given you seven choices in today’s discussion, out of which you can pick any one that seems to fit your expectation. Trust me, I used and tested these myself!
7 Best Electric Shavers for Sensitive Skin – No More Razor Burn
To learn about the top electric razors for sensitive skin, you have to individually dissect the tools that I deem are worthy.
That’s why this section expands on each shaver and highlights the skin-friendly features. Additionally, I’ve given my opinion on things that I like and aspects that could’ve been better!
- BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 – Overall the Most Comfortable
- Braun Series 9 9370cc – Best for Professional Use
- Panasonic ARC5 ES-LV67-K – Ideal Wet-Shaving Tool
- Braun Series 7 7071cc – Best for Convenience
- Philips Norelco 7200 – Perfect for Redness-Free Experience
- Braun Series 3 310s – Best for Budget
- Remington Rotary Shaver 5100 – Beginner-Friendly Rotary Device
BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 Electric Shaver
Kicking off my list of the best electric shavers for sensitive skin, I’m giving you the finest of them all – the BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 from their MetalFX series.
There are seven color choices to choose from: Black, Gold, Rose Gold, Blue, Grey, Nightfall and Silver, but the housing tone has little to do with its compatibility over sensitive skin.

Let’s take a look at the features that render it as an ideal choice for the cause and I’ll share my experience of using it!
Skin-Friendly Features
- Double-offset hypoallergenic gold-titanium foils
- 10,000 RPM motor power
- 3 Hours of cordless use
- Unique shape enables firm grip for precise control
From these features, you can already understand that the foil elements in the FoilFX02 are coated with a layer of hypoallergenic alloy.

This protective layer alone has worked wonders for me! I usually struggle with shaving my neck with an electric shaver as most of the devices have caused me some degree of irritation.
But with the FoilFX02 and a pinch of shaving lotion, the grooming experience felt as smooth as it can be!
Additionally, the double-offset foils are pressure sensitive and due to such an angular alignment, grabbing flat-lying hair has been more efficient.

These foils contain honeycomb shaped holes which can feed through every texture of facial hair and closeness never felt better with a dry-only shaving tool!
As per the blade goes, the two cutting elements beneath the foils are made with stainless steel and their rapid movement sideways work in sync with your shaving strokes.
While cleaning, you can press the release button on the side to remove the shaver head and brush off the excess hair.

However, keep in mind that the blades are very sharp, thus careful maneuver is required. You may remove the blades from their slots for a more thorough cleansing.
Another reason the BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 feels comfortable on sensitive skin is its superior motor power torquing at 10,000 RPM – a massive boost to say the least.
This sort of powerful tool doesn’t cause any tugs or pulls while gliding and lets the facial hair of diverse coarseness be trimmed off with less number of passes.

The FoilFX02 is quite heavy compared to other premium foil razors, 12.3 ounces with the cap. While it can tire out your fingers during longer grooming, the weight ensures precise strokes.
That way, you won’t end up with excessive pressure or extra passes against your skin – both catering to a skin-friendly shaving experience.
It offers a battery life of 3 hours, making the FoilFX02 an ideal tool for traveling. Yes, it’s a bit pricey but for regular, safe and comfortable clean shaves, I’m willing to spend that much on a durable device!
Things I Like
- Offers close shaving without irritating the skin
- Housing is made with durable material
- Steel cap protects the foils from damage
Areas for Improvement
- Slightly expensive
Braun Series 9 9370cc for Men
While the BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 is for home groomers, the next sensitive skin electric razor caters mostly to professional barbers – it’s the Braun Series 9 9370cc foil shaver!
Although this device is often used by passionate men for personal grooming, its functionalities lean more toward barbershop usage.

The following features are only a few of many, but these are the ones liable to give you the most comforting shaves without arousing irritation, redness or ingrown hair!
Skin-Friendly Features
- 4 cutting elements offer comfortable shaves with 1 SkinGuard protects skin
- 40,000 CPM motor embedded with AutoSense technology
- 10-D flexible head gives refined contour adaptation
- Honeycomb-shaped OptiFoils are ideal for sensitive skin
There’s a ton of discussion that can be done regarding the Braun Series 9 9370cc and the different variants come with slight deviations.
But in general, the Series 9 is not only a perfect tool for your sensitive skin, but also regarded arguably as the finest electric shaver there is.

The four+one arrangement on the shaver head is what sets it apart from the large pool of shaving devices.
These cutting elements include two OptiFoil meshes shaped like honeycombs (you already know why these are good for delicate skin).
Additionally, two cassettes feature unique functions – one trim out longer beard while the other provide you with up-close trims.

Lastly, a SkinGuard prevents the cutting elements from getting uncomfortably close to your skin and helps you glide past pimples or other uneven factors on your facial skin.
Yes, five elements compose a sizable shaver head and it can often be challenging to perform precise shaves on the mustache or even the neck region.
But every glide feels so out of the world comfortable that you’ll easily be able to look past the mentioned issues!

To make things even better, the Series 9 is able to perform 40,000 CPM or cross-cutting actions per minute (basically, an 8,000 RPM motor is built inside).
Such power is paired up with Braun’s 32-bit MCU that drives the AutoSense technology – automatic power adjustment based on your beard density.
With this, the Series 9 generates just the right amount of cutting actions to help your skin remain unscathed and that’s the main secret behind its prowess over sensitive skin.

Another factor that adds to it is the 10 directional flex head (including the pressure-sensitive bi-directional cutting elements) for refined contour adaptation.
You can still lock this movement using the slider at the back, a further push will let you use the built-in trimmer – it’s been usable to my surprise.
Let’s sum up the rest of the features very briefly. You’ll receive around an hour of battery life and a 10-bar LED display gives you status indication, also a built-in travel lock is there.

With the help of the cleaning station, your maintenance and charging becomes effortless as it washes, dries and lubricates the blades automatically – you can still manually do it.
This waterproof electric shaver weighs only 7.3 ounces – understandable and average considering the top-notch performance it provides.
For the price, I’d say it’s going to be worth it for those who regularly shave on consumers with not only sensitive skin, but all sorts, textures and densities of beards, the payback is actually much better!
Things I Like
- Designed for both wet and dry shaving, giving skin more comfort
- Ergonomically sound, contains grip points for a better hold
- Easy to clean and maintain
Areas for Improvement
- Large shaver head is often challenging at tighter spots
Panasonic ARC5 ES-LV67-K 5-Blade Shaver
Here’s to another shaving device with five cutting elements that distribute the hair trimming actions without focusing on one area – the Panasonic ARC5 LV67 marks the third spot!
Having a device as such is greatly beneficial for wet shaving due to the type of foil, motor power and the slip-free ergonomics.

You might wonder, why should the ARC5 LV67 serve sensitive skin better than other electric shavers at this price range? The following feature overview might help answer that question.
Skin-Friendly Features
- Four foils plus one cassette design generates less cutting strokes on skin
- 16-D floating head offers the best contour adaptation technology
- 70,000 CPM motor produces sufficient torque to avoid pulls or tugs
- Designed for wet shaving with foam, gel or lotion
Let’s break down the five cutting elements that might seem similar to the Series 9, but are actually very unique in many ways!

First of all, all four of the five elements are foil rings – two of which are finishers for a smooth result and the other two quick lifts that pull up your flat facial hair.
Finally, the fifth element down the middle – conventionally known as the cassette – is a quick slit blade which takes care of slightly longer stubble, but not a growth over 3 days.
These elements are particularly friendly for those with sensitive skin and such microthin outer foils offer the best of both worlds in more than one way!

Add the 70,000 CPM motor with Active Shave Sensor Technology into the mix – the machine will read your beard density 220/second and actively adjust the power 14/second.
Furthermore, the neck tilting and foil pressure sensitivity adds up a collective 16 directional flexible movement.
So you can understand how well the cutters will adapt to your face, cause less drag over the facial hair and deliver a baby-skin result with no redness!

Sounds too good to be true, right? There are a couple of downsides, like every other thing that’s good – one you could already guess I’m sure.
This sizable shaver head is slightly wider than the Series 9 and thus proves to be a bit difficult to glide over narrow spots.
Also, to gain the most comforting and closest outcomes, the ARC5 LV67 demands you to apply shaving foam or gel to soften down the beard.

A full-fledged pre-shave routine helps out in general and most certainly so while using this tool – don’t worry, the housing is both waterproof and washable.
The battery department will support you for 50 minutes with a full charge, five increment points show you battery status and a leather case makes storage as well as traveling convenient!

With a handle weighing less than the Series 9 at 6.9 ounces, dedicated, rubberized thumb-rest spot for wet shaving and a slide out trimmer that locks the neck tilt completes the ARC5 LV67.
It’s mostly meant for home groomers who prefer wet shaving and carries the degree of comfort to a whole new level – only the overall grooming duration will be slightly higher than dry mode!
Things I Like
- Shaves faster and smoother than most other tools
- The best there is when it comes to wet foil shaving
- Ergonomically sound and easy to maneuver
Areas for Improvement
- Large shaving head
- Noticeable difference between wet and dry shaving
Braun Series 7 7071cc Flex Electric Razor
If you’re not sold on the large shaver heads and feel like these won’t deliver precise grooming results, the new generation of Braun Series 7 shaving device is here to rescue you!
This electric shaver has fewer cutting elements and therefore can glide over your mustache or neck more easily than the more advanced tools.

But does it compromise its ability to ooze comfort over sensitive skin? In contrast, yes, but still it remains strong enough to treat your delicate shaving region in the right way!
Skin-Friendly Features
- Three cutting elements include two skin-safe OptiFoils
- New 360 flex head introduces efficient contour adaptability
- 24,000 CPM motor with AutoSense can conveniently shave 2-day stubble
- Ready for both wet and dry shaves at home
So you can see, the cutting elements in the Series 7 have been limited to three units – two of which are OptiFoil meshes used in the Series 9 as well.

The cassette in the middle is slightly different than Series 9 but manages to close out your stubble growth of maximum 2 days.
However, you’ll see that Braun is advertising its limit to 3 days but that’s only applicable for men who don’t have sensitive skin.
Otherwise, even coarse facial hair that’s generally genetic on black men should utilize the Series 7 at a maximum of alternate day shaving.

Since the four digit line (7****) in the Series 7 is a new introduction, buying this tool doesn’t mean you’re purchasing something old.
That’s evident in its advanced 360 flex head – the directional movement goes up to 8. One thing I don’t like is that there’s no way to lock the neck.
Sideway movement is achieved through the Y-shaped head holder, the hinge beneath allows vertical tilt and all three of the cutting elements are capable of bi-directional adjustment.

Such a combination was needed for men with sensitive skin and shaving over the bumps never felt easier than this.
The motor power is also lowered as there are less cutting elements – 24,000 CPM that’s attached to the new AutoSense technology – same as the Series 9.
With waterproof status, Braun Series 7 is capable of shaving in both wet and dry conditions, and clogs the foils less in contrast as there’s only two.

If manual cleaning isn’t your forte, you can purchase one with the cleaning station to take care of your maintenance duties, but it’s less thorough in my opinion.
Another new feature that has made my life easier is the EasyClick feature. With this, you can swap out the foil head (73S) with the trimmer head provided inside the package.

It’s a massive help as you can trim down your longer facial hair with the same tool before introducing the foils for a clean outcome, minimizing the threat of pulling over long facial hair.
The weight is 6.6 ounces, categorizing the Series 7 in the lightweight electric shaver list and the battery is able to run for around 50 minutes.

I’m not a big fan of the LED battery indicator – there’s no measurable counter despite 5 increment points. The mini button under the power button is only for turning on the display, nothing more.
In the end, the Series 7 is convenient in many ways with its minimal housing design, travel lock and straightforward usage. Daily grooming enthusiasts should definitely consider it!
Things I Like
- Smaller shaver head with flex neck makes shaving easier
- Rubberized paddings offer better wet shaving grip
- EasyClick allows you to attach a trimmer or body shaver head on the same handle
Areas for Improvement
- Not ideal for longer stubble
- Neck tilt cannot be locked
Philips Norelco 7200 Rotary Shaver, S7887/82
Now introducing the first rotary shaver in my list of best electric razors for sensitive skin – the Philips Norelco 7200 – a top of the line device in the industry.
It’s not only built in a sleek manner, but also contains skin-safe elements to keep you guarded during that up close shaving motion.

Certain features are very helpful for your fragile skin, especially for a device that’s capable of delivering safe results in both wet and dry conditions.
Skin-Friendly Features
- Double rotary rings built with different technology spares skin agitation
- SenseIQ feature regulates power based on your beard condition
- 250 microbeads help guide flat lying hair efficiently to the blades
- 45 stainless steel cutters underneath clean beard with less strokes
If you pay close inspection, the three V-oriented rotary rings should lay bare the double circle design which not only is kind on skin, but also provides higher efficiency.
Underneath these rings are 45 stainless steel blades placed at precise locations to trim off the facial hair fed through the vents.

These blades have self-sharpening properties, therefore remain agile longer and give you smooth glides with no discomfort.
Nano SkinGlide coating on these rotary rings help smooth out the glides against your skin and reduce redness by a significant margin, also kudos to the 360 degree contour heads.
Such gliding is further enhanced by the newly implemented 250 microbeads. Beads like these are basically vents to guide your flat lying hair through the rotary rings for removal.

With the SenseIQ feature, the Norelco 7200 produces a total of 90,000 CPM across your face (that’s basically a fancy number for a 2,000 RPM motor).
Also, this technology is one that controls motor power based on your beard coarseness – up to 250 times per second.
Norelco 7200 can be paired up with your mobile app to track your circular shaving animation and teach you the most efficient method – very useful for beginners.

The large LED display contains various information from battery level indicator, cleaning notification, travel lock icon and more.
This Norelco shaver is often preferred by groomers who like rotary over foil for numerous reasons – one of which is its popularity over sensitive skin.
For wet shaving, the IPX7 waterproof status protects the Norelco 7200 from water leakage. Due to the narrow rings, it’s better to apply shaving lotion than thick foam.

You’re going to receive a battery life of around 60 minutes, but some consumers claim that the Norelco 7200 lasts even longer on a full charge.
A pop-up trimmer exists on this rotary razor but with very limited functionality – only for sizing up your sideburn or mustache.

Due to the thin handle, 7 ounces of weight and ergonomic reinforcement, elderly men will be able to utilize this tool without fatiguing their arm!
The major downside of using a rotary shaver is that the closeness will come shy of foil units, but I’m happy to pay the price in exchange for better comfort and safety of my sensitive skin!
Things I Like
- Covers larger shaving area with the three V-shaped rings
- Sleek and ergonomic slip-proof design
- No redness or irritation experienced
Areas for Improvement
- Odd V-shape makes mustache shaving difficult
- Shaving results are not as close as foil razors
Braun Electric Series 3 310s Foil Shaver
Time to turn our heads toward something within a more affordable range – a budget-friendly sensitive skin foil shaver takes the penultimate spot – the Braun Series 3 310s!
While Braun has revamped their mid-tier electric razors, the Series 3 seems to be left out and that’s actually a good thing in my opinion.

Because despite the lower price, this tool can deliver remarkable results – although not as close as more costly devices – but its skin-friendly elements are there for the consumers!
Skin-Friendly Features
- Traditional Sense Foils are great for coarse facial hair
- Able to shave in wet conditions over softened beard
- 18,000 CPM motor feels ideal on fine facial hair
- Titanium-coated foils along with the MicroComb cater to sensitive skin
The Braun Series 3 is actually a niche choice and not a versatile group of consumers will find it to be highly effective.
For instance, the older generation of foil elements by Braun – SensoFoil – are better at capturing thick-textured hair.

But on the downside, it tends to leave behind some facial hair and gliding over them solves the issue. Such occurrences are more common during dry shaves.
That’s why I’ll recommend all of the sensitive-skin groomers to at least dampen your beard if not applying shaving gel or foam with a proper exfoliation.
The three cutting element system contains two foils that I just mentioned and one cassette that’s named to be MicroComb.

It’s an older tech for arousing the flat lying hair but sadly, it’s only effective on fine hair. Those with curly or kinky hair shouldn’t opt for the Series 3, otherwise you might experience some tugs.
However, there still are a couple of features that help out sensitive skin – namely the titanium coating over the foil elements.
This reduces friction with skin while stroking the shaver and doesn’t trigger any allergic reaction. If your skin experiences redness, that would only be due to the mismatch of facial hair type and shaving mode.

Secondly, the motor unit isn’t very powerful in the Braun Series 3 as it’s capable of producing a basic 18,000 CPM.
Such a rate of motor causes less cutting actions across the skin, therefore a perfect combination for those with fine hair.
Well, thick textured beard shaving is fine as long as you don’t have sensitive skin. But if you do, that’s not going to be a pleasant grooming session.

The rest of the features include a waterproof design for those wet shaves and rinses under the tap, a 3-bar LED light for battery status.
Since the Series 3 has an NiMH battery, the lifespan is around 40 minutes and recharging takes a couple of hours.

It weighs 7.3 ounces – a little heavy considering the older model. Highly ergonomic due to the textured rubber on each side of the handle and at the back, there’s a slide out trimmer.
Braun Series 3 actually gives you more features and convenience against the affordable price, but it’s the absolute winner only for those who fit the mentioned criterias.
Things I Like
- Bidirectional pressure sensitive foils help adapt contour
- ProSkin – extruded foils to shave at tight areas like mustache
- Unique gripping style due to handle shape and ergonomics
Areas for Improvement
- Caters to very specific groups of consumers
Remington Virtually Indestructible Rotary Shaver 5100
The final entry in my today’s list is from Remington, and it’s the Virtually Indestructible 5100 rotary shaver – something that’s highly ergonomic and ticks the box of sensitive skin shaving!
This is only the second rotary razor in my list and it has a much-differently built rotary system than the Norelco 7200.

Other than the rotary design, the additive coating over these elements make it a must-have device to shave your beard without causing tenderness to your skin!
Skin-Friendly Features
- Dual Track blades are two rings with sizable vents for less pull
- Anti-Microbial additive on these rotary elements offer skin comfort
- PrecisionPlus heads help out shaving hair at skin dents with less friction
- Has room for wet shaving despite the price
So, the Remington 5100 is essentially a budget-friendly rotary shaving tool that you can endorse for your sensitive skin shaving.
The three rotary rings contain two rings each – both are extruded and the vents feel wide enough for almost all categories of facial hair, but there’s still an issue – more on that later.

Also, the PrecisionPlus head design pushes the extended rotary rings against your skin without causing additional friction points across the skin.
It means, shaving on areas like your neck or the jawline proves to be more effortless and requires less passes – something handy for those with delicate skin.
To top all of these off, there’s a coating of Anti-microbial additive over the rings. This coating is basically a hypoallergenic alloy to prevent allergic reactions from frequent grinding.

Now one downside – the motor unit generates approximately 1,800 RPM power, something that only caters to fine to medium textured hair.
With such feeble power, those with fine or less dense facial hair can easily employ this tool and it makes very little sound – a bonus for consumers with sound sensitivity!
This rotary razor is waterproof without the status – but it still gives you the solid flexibility of applying a wet shave using shaving foam.

In order to clean it out, the waterproof quality comes in handy. By pressing the tricky rotary release button, you can wash the blade and stray hair chamber within seconds.
The battery runtime is actually good – 50 minutes runtime with a full charge and a singular light indicates if it’s being charged properly.
Remington 5100 weighs only 6.5 ounces despite the bulky, ergonomic and rubberized design, making it a top choice for those looking forward to wet shaving.

Its 360 pivot and flex neck is quite interesting – it seems to move around randomly but while shaving, you do get a better degree of contour adaptation than a lot of other pricier tools.
There’s a pop-up trimmer at the back simply for the sake of featuring one, no more useful than just straightening up your sideburns.
But all things considered, the redness and irritation-free shaving experience I received in both wet and dry modes with the Remington 5100 – it should attract consumers who think it meets their requirements!
Things I Like
- Rotary heads dedicated to offer higher comfort
- Super-tactile design with sufficient rubberized grip points
- Shaves are surprisingly faster if conducted daily
Areas for Improvement
- Motor power is limited to fine hair and average coarseness
Why Trust My Opinion?
I’ve been the biggest guinea pig for years when it comes to finding electric shavers that properly serve my sensitive skin the right way.
During this journey, I witnessed and experienced a plethora of pain and irritation which made me even more determined to find my perfect tool.
Through that journey and some discussion with experts in the field, I was able to come up with these seven unique electric razors for delicate skin grooming.
I hand-tested these tools and some of them have been a part of my regular grooming routine for months, therefore I can guarantee that you can trust my opinion!
My Tests & Findings on the Best Electric Razors for Sensitive Skin
I ran extensive tests on my top 7 sensitive skin electric razors to see how well each performs comparatively on the essential qualities for such shaving purposes.
Key Features: Hypoallergenic Cutters, Contour-adaptable Heads, Standard Motor Power, Frictionless Shaving, Convenient Ergonomics
Cutting Elements
The most important element in any sensitive skin-friendly electric razor is its cutters – be that foil or rotary in technology.

For dry shaves, I believe the most comfortable has been the BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 due to its hypoallergenic alloy and in the rotary team, the Remington 5100 for its anti-microbial additive.
Now concerning wet shaving, Panasonic ARC5 LV67 and Braun Series 3 are my top choices – the former with its 5 cutting elements while the latter consisting of the extruded dual foils.
And to perform all-round shaving in both wet and dry, Braun Series 9 is definitely the most versatile choice, closely followed by Braun Series 7.
If you prefer comfort over closeness, Norelco 7200 rotary razor is the best of both worlds with its unique dual-ring design and microbeads for better efficiency.
Motor Power
Video: Best Electric Shaver for Sensitive Skin Motor Power
To mention the winner in the motor power department, BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 has no contest for its 10,000 RPM motor.
Panasonic ARC5 produces 70,000 CPM whereas the Braun Series 9 is able to perform 40,000 CPM.
Braun Series 7’s CPM is much lower – 24,000 CPM and the budget-level Series 3 is the least in the foil department – 18,000 CPM.
In the rotary devices however, Norelco 7200 can perform around 90,000 CPM and Remington 5100 torques at approximately 1,800 RPM.
A higher torque or CPM indicates you’ll require less passes on your skin and coarse beard will be shaved easily – thus your sensitive skin regions will remain protected.
Contour Adaptation
There are multiple options for contour adaptation in our discussion and the closer the cutting elements remain to the skin, the less glides are required – saving your skin.

Panasonic ARC5 LV67 is probably the most versatile in this department with its 16 directional pivot and flex, outranking Braun Series 9’s 10 directional movement.
Braun Series 7 is somewhat restricted in contrast as it offers 8 directional adaptations. Norelco 7200 and Remington 5100 both can absorb pressure in 360 degrees – grand for rotary shaving.
Braun Series 3 and BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 offer bi-directional movement based on their foil’s pressure sensitivity – but the former has extruded foils for narrow spots whereas the latter’s double-offset design caters to indented skin at the neck.
Ergonomics
This department is actually preferential but having your sensitive skin shaver weighing between 5 to 8 ounces should be the ideal way to go.

That said, BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 seems like the only tool exceeding the limit as it measures over 10 ounces – enabling precision but tiring for longer operations.
Braun Series 9 and Panasonic ARC5 are similar to hold on to, but the latter offers slightly refined grip for wet shaving.
Speaking of, Remington 5100 is a killer in the wet department, however, some consumers are unnerved by its handle width – same goes for the Braun Series 3.
If you want something sleek and thin, Norelco 7200 should be your ideal choice and maneuvering it around my face has probably been the easiest thing to do!
Battery Life
Longer battery life isn’t always necessary for sensitive skin shaving but having a device that holds juice certainly helps out in those cordless operations in the shower.

Nobody can beat BaBylissPRO FoilFX02 in this department as the device can run for up to 3 hours with a full charge.
Braun Series 9 and Philips Norelco 7200 are the closest competitors here with one hour battery life.
Panasonic ARC5 LV67, Braun Series 7 and Remington 5100 each are capable of giving you 50 minutes of runtime – it’s the industry standard.
Being a budget-level shaver, the Braun Series 3 is able to run for 40 minutes with a full charge. I’m willing to concede that considering the price point.
Cleaning & Maintenance
Apart from the BaBylissPRO FoilFX02, every other shaver in my list is waterproof and can be washed for easy cleaning.

For the FoilFX02, the only way to go forward is by using a cleaning brush to remove stray hair and applying a couple drops of lubricants on the foils as well as the blades.
This lubrication must be applied on the other shaving devices too to keep the friction to the bare minimum – it helps the blades to remain sharp.
Braun Series 9 and Series 7 offer you cleaning stations that take care of your cleaning, lubrication and charging, but it’s not only costly during the first purchase, but also the refills take a toll on your wallet.
Buyer’s Guide: Picking the Best Electric Shaver for Sensitive Skin
I know picking the right tool from seven different razors can still be a tough choice for many, therefore I’m going to help you assess your needs in this buyer’s guide section.
- Most Comfortable: If you are one who requires utmost comfort over anything else and spending a little extra sounds like a fair trade, pick the BaBylissPRO FoilFX02.
- For Professional Use: Professionals require a shaver that can cater to versatile delicate skin conditions and offer a station for easy cleaning and charging, Braun Series 9 is your answer.
- Wet Shaving: Shaving your sensitive skin in the wet condition feels like the safest approach and Panasonic ARC5 LV67 performs better under the shower than anything else!
- Compact & Convenient: Braun Series 7 is more compact than the other four or five foil units, therefore it’s convenient to use for regular use.
- No Redness: Norelco 7200 has been the one to arouse no degree of redness due to its unique rotary design, but not as close to a result as foil razors.
- Best Budget Choice: Those in budget can opt for the Braun Series 3, especially those wanting wet foil shaves without emptying the pocket.
- Cheap Rotary Razor: While there are other cheap rotary razors, Remington 5100 seems like the only one to take care of sensitive skin in both wet and dry shaving conditions.
From these criteria assessments, I hope you’ll be able to identify which one meets your necessities in the best possible way and proceed accordingly.
FAQ – Enhance Your Knowledge
To learn further about the sensitive skin shaving devices and relevant concerns, I’m answering some questions in this section very briefly.
Q: Should I use an electric shaver wet or dry if I have sensitive skin?
Ans: It actually depends on the electric razor you have. Generally, shavers that are capable of delivering wet shaves and foam or gel don’t clog down the cutters, wet shaving is more comfortable on sensitive skin. That said, certain shavers with dry shaving ability also perform well, you may apply some shaving lotion to smooth things out even more.
Q: Is it better to shave before or after showering for sensitive skin?
Ans: If your electric shaver doesn’t cause redness or trigger irritation on your skin at any given time, you may shave before shower to effectively clean up after. But the rule of thumb dictates that those who shave after the shower feel less agitation on sensitive skin. In either case, follow your shaving up with a post-shave routine to cool down your skin.
Q: How do I clean my electric shaver to avoid skin issues?
Ans: Sensitive skin can trigger discomfort due to numerous things and an unclean device is one of the major yet unspoken causes. Simply brushing off your cutters won’t budge in this case. If your razor is washable, do that with soap or any cleaning solution – you may even use a station if that’s an option.
For non-washable razors, try using spray cleansers to maintain proper hygiene. Also, store your electric shaver at a dry, moistureless area to prevent bacterial growth.
Final Verdict
Picking the best electric razor for sensitive skin won’t solve all of your issues because there are certain things that simply cannot be solved by altering your shaver.
You should also employ more effective and less aggressive shaving styles, additionally let your skin get acquainted with the particular shaving pattern.
There’s still bound to be some discomfort here and there, one thing that has helped me through is applying cold water.
If you do everything right, your delicate skin will definitely benefit from the new shaver purchase and render your journey a highly comfortable one for the coming days!
